Clara and I were visiting my parents in Maryland. My mom runs many different workshops on weekends and had just finished running an indigo dying class. She brought the supplies home.
We'd fold the fabric in different weird patterns, clamp it between some foam blocks, and then quick tipped it. Resulting in complex geometric patterns. Another technique was to tie off several parts of fabric, folding and tying to restrict which parts would get dyed.
In the end we made 8 amazing looking scarves.
