Finishing our last breakfast in Paris we grab the subway to Gare du Nord, we have a train to catch to Brussels. We alternate bites of cross aunt and sips of espresso while listening to the clack of the train schedule board updating over head. 10 minutes before our train leaves and the schedule updates, everyone loitering around bolts for the platform.
2 hours later we're in Brussels, Belgium. Packing light we simply walk from the train straight across town to our hotel. Clara had discovered the fantastic Pantone Hotel, yes actually part of the color swatch brand. We check into our lime green room, drop our bags, and head into town.
We only had 2 days in Brussels, but it was a fantastic city to explore. Very walkable, we were able to see a lot in such a short period of time. We enjoyed fanatic beer while we watched the European teens stumble around The Grand Place drinking wine by the bottle. Ate fantastic chocolates and macaroons, and chocolate covered macaroons. And came across spectacular design boutiques continually.
After our two days we grabbed our now much heavier bags and hiked back to the train station. A few hours later we were back in London.
