Things have been too silent here on Field Series, and I apologize for that. Life and work have gotten in the way of taking photos, editing, and posting.
Ending 2016 has me closing the design studio I helped get off the ground. Three years ago I joined Made by Many, and helped grow their New York office. Together with an awesome founding team and ultimately an amazing group of designers, developers, and PMs we created a successful and impactful design studio. But with bigger changes on the horizon and plans made but failing, our parent office decided to shut operations in NYC.
All of this happening during this time of year put a different flavor to the holidays. Spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with my former boss and wife, and co-director and wife, now all four great friend instead of just co-workers, we savored the holidays. Slowly having breakfast all morning, afternoons running our dogs on the beach, and evenings cooking dinner while prepping new board games. We reveled in relaxing, having a good time, and enjoying life.
2016 was the hardest of years, but closing it out in the company of friends and loved ones was the right way to bring in 2017.
