After 12 years of planning and construction the incredible Oculus Transit Hub in downtown Manhattan is finished. Photos of the new hub have been popping up all over the internet and Instagram, but none of them do them justice. The entire space is framed with a massive rib structure. Between each rib is a slice of the NYC skyline. Walking through the space all sounds are absorbed by the structure above you. Your in the middle of a surreal environment, something that feels like it shouldn't exist, a mix between a cathedral and a spaceship. Even through it's open not all of the subway connection points are opening. Meaning for the time being you can visit is mid day and take in the site with minimal interruption.
