Shooting everyday Part 2

Keep your camera at hand. It's one thing to have your camera on your person but keep it close to your hands. A good shot comes at any moment and you'll miss them if your camera isn't ready to pounce.

Recently i've made a point if keeping my camera in front of me. Often resting my right hand on it, ready to slide onto the grip and squeeze the shutter. I've also been carrying a wide prime lens, something to enable shooting from the hip. The Canon 40mm pancake on my 6D is amazing. Small, quiet and just fast enough. At night I'll grab my 28mm f1.4. Wider and faster yet. During the day I've been shooting at 1/160. When it's dark, quiet a bit slower.
